The Ultimate Quick Fresh Pecans Appetizer

Our pecan company doesn’t just make great standalone snacks, we also have the main ingredient for what is sure to be a hit of an appetizer. Fresh Louisiana Pecans work really well in sweet snacks and desserts, this is common knowledge, but what about savory applications? We have a recipe that’s a soon to be huge hit at all of your family gatherings, and it really brings out the savory nature of our pecan company delicious fresh pecans.
These savory spiced pecans can be prepared quickly, and then placed in a bowl to treat your guests before dinner is served. Not just for family gatherings, they also make an ideal snack for watching the big game, warming up after raking leaves, or any occasion where you want something small, tasty, and easy to eat. T
o start, set aside 4 cups of pecan halves. This is around 1 pound of pecans, and a perfect amount for setting out to delight a house full of guests. You’ll also want to gather 1/3 of a cup of butter, 2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce, 1 and ¼ teaspoons of kosher salt, ½ teaspoon of garlic powder, ½ teaspoon of ground mustard, ½ teaspoon of Tabasco sauce, and ¼ teaspoon of cayenne pepper. Setting everything out ahead of time ensures you can whip this up quickly and easily!
First, you’ll want to preheat your oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit, and place your pecans in a large mixing bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk together your melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, salt, garlic powder, ground mustard, Tabasco sauce, and cayenne pepper. Once whisked thoroughly, pour the mixture over your pecans and stir until the mixture is well combined. Take your mixture and spread out evenly over a large sheet pan, then place in the oven to bake for around 20 minutes. You want your pecans to be toasted and lightly browned, and stirring halfway through cooking can ensure more even toasting. After the mixture is finished baking, simply toss and store in an airtight container until ready to eat!
